The children are playing ball in the school yard. Emma arrives in crutches because her leg is in a cast. Greeted by her friends, she sits down on a bench to wait for classes to start. Anticipating the bell, Emma slowly starts heading towards the entrance and finds herself in the middle of the game. There´s mayhem and shouting all around her; she´s afraid of getting knocked over. Célestin rushes to the scene and calls the students to order. Realizing that they could have made her fall, everyone comes to Emma´s aid.
