In this episode, the children discuss the work of Victor Hugo by Gaspard-Felix Tournachon, better known by his artist name, Nadar. This photo is one of the very first photos. It is a photo of one of the greatest stars of literature, Victor Hugo, taken by one of the greatest stars of photography. He made his name by doing caricatures of celebrities in newspapers. With his taste for portraits, Nadar will quickly become interested in photography which has just been invented. He invented a lot of great processes, like the ancestor of the GIF.
