WaaPaKe (Demain)

Over the generations, the suffering of residential school survivors has rippled out and had far-reaching consequences for Indigenous families and communities. Jules Arita Koostachin (Ph.D.)’s deeply personal documentary WaaPaKe (Tomorrow) goes beyond intergenerational trauma: it invites us to untangle the knots of silence and move forward together toward collective freedom and strength.

The testimonies in this documentary come from members of the Indigenous communities of Attawapiskat, Inuvik, Nooksack, Kwantlen, and Champagne and Aishihik.
