Hello, woodpecker! You’re a tree-dwelling bird. That means you live in trees. You can drill into wood by tapping on it with your beak, just like a hammer. Every year it’s the same: you start by drilling holes in tree trunks to find your favorite spot. Once you’ve chosen it, you’ll drill deeper to build your nest there. That’s right, it’s important, because this is where your babies will be born!
