Eight-year-old Gita can't wait to celebrate Divali, the Hindu festival of lights, in her new country. But everything is different from New Delhi, where she comes from. Here, the weather is cold and gray and a terrible ice storm cuts off the power and ruins her party plans. Obviously, it is no longer possible to celebrate Divali. But maybe it is after all. In front of the glittering beauty of the icy streets, the traditional festival of lights takes a wonderful turn.
