Additions posées avec retenues

This video is about addition with a carry. It is preferable to have a good knowledge of addition without a carry before starting this new concept. I use the representation of tens and units in the form of cubes in order to concretize the addition of a ten. Indeed, holding is often abstract and it is therefore necessary to use concrete representations to facilitate understanding. When the sum of the units exceeds 9, it is then necessary to put the ten above the tens column, it is the carry. Then, it is enough to add the tens. If the sum of the tens is greater than 9, and there are no hundreds, it is no longer necessary to put a carry.
