Les contenances L, cL, mL

The objective is to know the units of measurement of capacity (hectoliter, decaliter, liter, deciliter, centiliter, milliliter) and to estimate measurements of capacity (e.g., to know that we do not use hL to measure the capacity of a coffee spoon). Next, I suggest using a table to convert measurements. At this point, we are only working with whole numbers. When the students have mastered the conversions, they can learn to compare numbers. To do this, it is necessary to convert to the same unit. To make things easier, it is simpler to convert to the smallest unit in order to add 0's and avoid decimal points. Finally, I show how to arrange in ascending or descending order. As for comparisons, it is better to convert everything to the smallest unit before ordering the measurements.
