May 17 is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. It's an opportunity to recognize hard-won progress, as well as the pursuit of equity for 2SLGBTQ+ communities, both in Canada and internationally. But what does “homophobia” actually mean? What rights do 2SLGBTQ+ people have in Canada? What associations exist to help victims and witnesses of homophobia, transphobia or biphobia?
