Les Autochtones, tu connais?
This series allows young viewers to learn about Indigenous cultures. The themes covered are: music, arts, Indigenous diversity, traditional knowledge, food, spirituality, clothing and ceremonies, and living together. Teachers will be able to use the short vignettes to fuel discussions in order to promote students' knowledge of Indigenous peoples. Some of the episodes will be relevant to social studies (e.g., living together), art education (e.g., music, art), French (e.g., legends in reading and writing) and food. Each vignette features Indigenous youths who, through communication with a variety of Indigenous adults, impart knowledge essential to Indigenous traditions. Self-directed learning is also a skill often used in this series to promote human well-being, traditional knowledge and spirituality. Balance is the cornerstone of this series!
