For the Franco-Ontarian community, the song Notre Place, composed by Paul Demers and François Dubé, has been a rallying cry of solidarity and affirmation since the very beginning. On March 2, 2017, the song was recognized by the Government of Ontario as the official anthem of Franco-Ontarians. Some fifty artists including Damien Robitaille, YAO, Les Chiclettes, Chuck Labelle, Robert Paquette, and Moonfruits joined Demers´ wife, Sylvie, and daughter, Sophie, to record a final tribute to this man, who so greatly marked Ontario´s Francophone music industry. After his death on October 29, 2016, the whole community got together to celebrate the life of this key figure.
