Monstres et compagnie

In this episode, the children discuss the work Monstrous Landscapes number 55 by Léopold Chauveau. Léopold Chauveau was born in France and was not an artist at all, but a doctor. Léopold had two secret passions: art and monsters. To create these strange creatures, he was inspired by diseases and deformities. The mixture of ugliness and beauty fascinated him and gave him many ideas. He also illustrated other people's stories and then created his own tales for children. He left medicine to devote himself exclusively to his monsters!
