Attention chien méchant

The children discuss the mosaic work 'Cave canem' in Pompeii. A mosaic is a drawing made with small squares of very hard color in clay or glass. It is called tesserae. And when we stick these small squares together, it gives an image. The dog of this work, was discovered at the entrance of one of the most famous houses of Pompeii, the house of the tragic poet. Among the Romans, these panels were real works of art.
