Inspired by Louis Riel and the resistance led by the Métis National Committee, Sara sets up a student committee, called La brigade, to negotiate the return of poutine to the cafeteria menu. She brings students together and shares her concerns out loud. Sara explores citizenship rights by speaking out and standing up for her beliefs. She shows perseverance and the ability to compromise to achieve her goal.
