Originally from Cameroon, Jacky Yenga has been practicing African dance and ancestral songs since she was 9 years old. After settling in Vancouver, she helps other African women reconnect with their roots through dance classes, songs and lectures. The host will meet this inspiring woman and her community. He will also be introduced to the values of the African continent: respect for elders, nature, ancestors, dance and African music with the help of dancer Angelique Muhorakeye and renowned musician Kocasalasse Dioubate.
