Tristan wants to take advantage of chivalry training with Monlourdo to learn some of his special sword strokes, but he has promised his father to help him in the field. For his part, Monlourdo has to overcome a very bad memory to regain his confidence. As for Alix, he wants to give Languille-sous-Roche a real troupe of actors, but his desire to entertain the people turns against him.
