A concussion is an invisible injury that can cause many symptoms. So, how do we explain it to the children? This short clip explores the function and importance of the brain. It clearly indicates the symptoms, adverse effects and prevention options for this injury. The video provides support to the kindergarten educator team to facilitate the teaching and learning of the knowledge and skills related to concussion (specific expectation 24.1, revised – The 2019 Addendum to The Kindergarten Program). It provides an entry point for the strategies to be adopted in the teaching process in order to reduce the risk of injury, to initiate a dialogue and to effectively raise awareness among children.
