Marjolaine finds herself surrounded by her 'tati', nurses, as she is diagnosed with an illness that cannot be explained. Marjolaine's mother calls in Haiti to ask for help from her mother, whom she has abandoned. A celebration is needed as Marjolaine gets her period for the first time. As the visions disappear, Marjolaine tries to find them again. Her mother refuses to accept this kind of future for her. As her mother gives her the works of art she had produced as a child, Marjolaine sees a rebirth in her.
