The two children decide to go to Malek's house to collect Khadidja's belongings and some food before the modest apartment is re-let to a new family. They are surprised by two men who have come to search the room, obviously looking for something. After they leave, the little girl realizes that she'll have to stay at the cabin indefinitely.
