It is now possible for governments and banks to 'invent' money. How can this work without creating a major financial crisis? The current pandemic is forcing governments to borrow billions of dollars to support the economy. But who does a government borrow from? Even banks are allowed to lend more money than they have. How is this possible? Who benefits from it?
