The myth becomes reality when the Half Masks of Balance, ancient artifacts imbued with unique characteristics, appear and beguile their unsuspecting victims creating an imbalance in the world. The White Lady and the Council of Elders choose Amos, bearer of the Masks of Power over the Elements, as their champion. But Amos must also face Black Sun, a dark elf and powerful sorcerer who seeks the half-masks for his Master Set, god of treachery and jealousy. Trained by his spiritual master, Sartigan, and aided by his best friends, the warrior Beorf who can transform into a large bear, Medusa, the mysterious Gorgon, Lolya, the necromancer, a young dragon named Maelstrom, and three wacky carrier pigeons, Amos must find and reclaim the half-masks in order to restore the balance.
