Mannequins noires : défis et opportunités
How do you break into a fashion world often criticized for being too homogenous? This is the challenge taken up by models Djamila Sylla, originally from Guinea, and Frances Sesay, a Toronto native with Sierra Leonean roots. As black women, they tell us about a fashion industry where it's not always easy to get make-up, clothes or even hair done properly. The two women confide in each other, while taking us backstage at Toronto's African Fashion Week, an annual event that showcases the industry's black and African models.
