On February 23, 1917, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, thousands of women demonstrators march through the streets of Petrograd, exhausted by the war and the ever worsening living conditions. The peaceful gathering soon turns into an insurrection. This is the beginning of the Russian Revolution which, in barely eight months, will change the history of the country, putting an end to the Romanov dynasty and giving birth to the USSR.
