Super sens

Richard Hammond buries himself in a mine beyond the range of any signal to communicate. Inspired by the ability of elephants to communicate through the ground via infrasound, engineers have invented a system to communicate through rock. We then focus on the ability of bats to find their way in the dark to enable a blind cyclist to ride through the forest. Richard then meets an owl that flies extremely quietly and could make any fan or plane quieter. Finally, the amazing whiskers of sea lions have inspired a self-driving car system.
