Super pouvoirs

Richard Hammond first explored the difficulties humans have in maintaining concentration in high temperatures. Inspired by the paws of huskies, engineers have created a kind of 'vacuum handle' with a cold system to bring down the temperature of the whole body. Then, using slime from the hagfish, an anguilliform marine animal, scientists hope to create a new material that is extremely light and strong like a spider's web. The presenter then learns how the arthropod exoskeleton provided the idea for a mechanism that could provide the strength needed to get a disabled person walking again. Finally, the dace and kingfisher are models for camouflage and aerial view through water reflections.
