In this episode, we explore the story of Harris, a 12-year-old boy from Clarence-Rockland, Ontario, proud of his Ghanaian and Canadian origins.
Harris and his family play ampe, a game popular in Africa, particularly Ghana, that requires hand, eye and foot coordination. He also shows us his fugu, a traditional outfit from his country of origin, as well as a popular dance called azonto. Harris and his mother cook us two Ghanaian dishes, including tuo zaafi and ayoyo. Passionate about soccer, Harris trains three times a week in hopes of becoming a professional player for Team Canada or Ghana.
