The next stop on journalist Inès Rebei's tour of the North is the Panorama mine. Located 60 km from Thunder Bay, this is Canada's largest amethyst mine!

Inès meets Isabelle Rioux, a young French-speaking guide, who talks about the mysterious and bewitching properties of this stone. They'll head to the heart of the open mine to discover the amethyst buried deep in the rock and try to extract a few fragments.

Will Inès be able to unearth the rare pearl?
