Fady has disappeared. The whole family sets out to find him. Zeina feels guilty about the disappearance of her little brother, with whom she had a fight the day before. A search is filed at the police station, and the streets and parks of the town are combed by family members and even Zeina's new friends. In the wake of the search, Caroline and Geneviève realize that Zeina has lied about her past, that she is not from the United States, but from a war-torn Arab country. Feeling betrayed, her friends become angry with her. Her cousin Christian finally admits that the runaway was just a ploy to get their attention, while Fady feels uprooted and destabilized.
