La biodiversité

Biodiversity is a topical issue that needs to be explained so that students are aware of the need to protect their environment. Students can discover that biodiversity is all living things (animals, plants, bacteria, humans, fungi, etc.) interacting with their environment. Food chains are part of biodiversity. It is this biodiversity that allows us to feed ourselves, to have water, materials, medicines, etc. When everything goes well, there is a balance between living beings and each one can live in harmony with the others. However, biodiversity is threatened by human beings because of pollution, construction expansion, climate change, overconsumption, etc. This creates imbalances in the ecosystems. This creates imbalances in the food chain that can have dramatic consequences for humans and other living beings. It is therefore urgent to take care of our environment.
