Students learn to recognize a cell and the fact that it represents a common structure among living things. This video gives general information about the cell that will be expanded upon in the rest of the schooling. All living things are made up of cells, this is what we have in common. Some living beings have only one cell, they are called unicellular beings. Those that have several cells are called multi-cellular. The human being has around 100,000 billion cells. The cell consists of a membrane that protects the cell. Inside, there is the cytoplasm and the nucleus. The nucleus contains the DNA. The size and shape of cells vary greatly between living things.
