Paul Cournoyer

Paul Cournoyer is a singer-songwriter from Edmonton, Alberta. He has been playing music and composing songs since he was a teenager, which led him to take part in the La Chicane albertaine music contest on several occasions. His artistic approach is guided by his quest for authenticity. Paul seeks to tell stories that resonate with Franco-Albertans, as his father once did in Edmonton's theater world. Paul comes from a musical family. He had the good fortune to convert his uncle's home, Moose Farm, into a recording studio. The tranquility and greenery give him what he needs to create. As well as being a multi-instrumentalist, Paul is also a carpenter. He takes a philosophical view of his work, firstly because it allows him to make a living, but also because it breathes new life into his artistic endeavors. As in music, every step of the carpenter's work has an impact on the final product. In addition to his solo project, Paul is a member of the group Post Script with his girlfriend Steph. Their world is dedicated to music, which allows them to flourish together as well as individually.
