Ariko

Meet the Lefaive family, a musical family that will have you tapping your toes from the very first notes. Based in Ontario's Georgian Bay region, parents Laura and Louis have made music an integral part of their family life. Their daughters, Jill, Nicole and Kelly, grew up with violins in hand and tap shoes on their feet. As their father was a music teacher, they frequented the festival circuit at an early age, learning the art of performing in front of an audience. The creation of the Ariko group came with time. The family was in demand, and the girls were creating more and more original songs. So they came up with this group, which now enables them to get together as a family. With a nod to the three sisters' indigenous culture, squash, corn and beans, and their own family name, Ariko celebrates traditional French music. The members of Ariko want to make their audience sing and dance, while sharing their own culture that makes them so proud.
